Training Course for Global Health Leaders

 

 

 

Tokai University School of Medicine and New Health Leader Network initiated entitled   乬Health Development in the 21st Century:  Training Course for New Health Leaders乭 in collaboration with World Health Organization Regional Office for the Western Pacific (WHO-WPRO) in 1996, with governmental support by Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and private organizations乫 support by Keidanren, Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufactures Association of Japan etc.  From 2001, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has also joined for support our training course.

We held the 13th course in 2008, and 147 participants from 31 countries had already graduated. They were government officers, faculty of universities and researchers etc.

We got many reports by the fellows乫 active works. One of them was reported by Dr. Nicholas Mann, who is a graduate of the 1st course and became a secretary of Health Department, Papua New Guinea in 2001.
