We accepted 13 participants on Study Visit to Develop Joint Curriculum of Thai Care-Givers to work and practice in Japan under the JTEPA, from Thailand. They visited Tama New Town for observation on Health City Planning in Ageing Society.

Prof. Tetsu Watanabe, Assoc. Prof. Yoshihisa Watanabe and Assoc. Prof. Takaaki Kinoue were attended WHO Regional Conference on Primary Health Care and 4th Annual Meeting of South East Asia Public Health Education Institution Network (SEAPHEIN), at Jakarta, Indonesia.

We visited Ministry of Health, Indonesia, and we discussed with Dr. R. Assoc. Prof. Yoshihisa Watanabe and Assoc. Prof. Takaaki Kinoue visited Mongolia for Feasibility Study on further activity in there. We visited related organizations, including JICA Mongolia Office, Embassy of Japan in Mongolia, etc. We had an opportunity to meet Mr. Yasuyoshi Ichihashi (Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of Japan in Mongolia).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


March 12-22, 2008

By the invitation from Dr. Khwanchai (graduate of 12th Training Course for Health Leaders (2007), Deputy Director, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand), we dispatched Assoc. Prof. Yoshihisa Watanabe (as JICA Short-term Expert) to Ministry of Public Health, and Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Thailand. He delivered lecture on Health Forecasting Methodologies (BFT) and consultation on data collection for 乬Project on Community-Based Integrated Services of Health Care and Social Welfare for the Elderly乭 joint project with both Ministries and JICA. And, he also delivered lectures and consultations at 4 provinces of Nonthaburi , Chiang Rai , Khon Kaen and Surat Thani which are pilot sites of the project.

We had 2nd Training Course on Health Financing for Central Units and Provincial Health Planner, Indonesia 2007, hosted by Tokai University, collaborated with Ministry of Health, Indonesia, at Isehara Campus, Tokai University. We welcome 33 participants from Indonesia. We invited Prof. Dr. Ali Ghufron Mukti, Ghaja Madah University, Jogjakarta, Indoneasia for our support and lecture, based on MOU between Research Center for International Health Development, Tokai University Graduate School of Medicine and Ghaja Madah University.
